Connect. Grow. Serve. Reach out.
Life is not meant to be lived alone. We were created for relationship. We believe that in order to grow in our love for God and love for our neighbor, we need a small group of people to help. So that's why The Harbor United Methodist Church is committed to inviting its neighbors to be part of this life transforming ministry. Groups currently meet on the following days and times. Contact the small group leader to find out where they will meet this week (some groups move from home to home each week):

Our focus is three-fold:

1. Fellowship - This is fellowship is based upon the Biblical idea of "koinonia," which means "putting good deposits into each other." We share ourselves with others - we care for each other - we pray for each other. Life gets hard at times, and what better thing than to know that there are people you can call any time of day or night to help. Best of all, being part of a small group is simply a lot of fun.

2. Discipleship - We are dedicating to growing and maturing as followers of Jesus. When Jesus began his ministry on earth, the first thing he did was gather a small group around him. At Pentecost, that ministry was given to the church. We believe maturity happens best in small groups, and together these groups seek to apply Biblical principles practically to life.

3. Evangelism - Simply put, the gospel of Jesus Christ is good news to be shared, particularly with those in need. So small groups seek to connect with others, inviting them on the journey, and seek to serve their neighbor.

Small groups meet at Sunday & Monday evening, Wednesday morning, afternoon and evening, and Thursday evenings in various places throughout the week, and are open to new people at all times. Contact Diane Evans, Mary Ellen Ross, Melinda Cerny, Kyte MacKillop, Shelley Rinehart or Jenny Styers to find out how you can get connected.
