Thank you so much for visiting our Harbor United Methodist Church web page. We are so grateful that you are taking the time to read our church web page. We hope you will find our church family to be the best place for you to worship, learn and grow your faith with us. It is also our prayer and hope that this web site will be a helpful resource to you and your loved ones. The mission of our church in Scituate and the surrounding towns is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the World. We love and accept people from all backgrounds. In other words our church accepts you as you are, because we know that the power of change does not reside in us but in our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that God did not call us to judge people but to love them with the unconditional love that Christ our Lord has also loved us with. Our church also understands that it’s not about color, race or culture, but what you bring to the table. We believe that everyone is God’s child created in God’s image. So when coming to worship with us, you know you can come as you are!
The Harbor United Methodist is a Church that is called to provide ministry to people at every point of their need, beginning with children, adults, visitors, church seekers and Alcoholics Anonymous. We also feed the hungry in our community and provide counseling to addicts, single parents, and those with broken families who are looking to put the pieces of their lives together. Our worship service is enshrined in both dynamic contemporary and vibrant traditional worship services. We also offer age-based and interest-based Christian education prayers and Bible studies in both people’s homes and church during the week. Our sermons and teachings are not a one size fits all. However, we try to provide teachings and sermons that are meaningful and applicable to every church member’s needs and experience. You can see all what we do in ministering with different groups of people by browsing through our church web page. Our prayer chain ministry is also vital to the members of this church, those in nursing homes, hospitals and beyond the walls of our church family. Our music ministry is vibrant and varied and offers many opportunities for honoring God. There are also many ways to honor God through service, such as local, national, and international mission work teams, the Food Pantry supplies, church and parsonage clean up days and many more. While this web page does not list all of the ministries and programs that take place at our church, my wife Sheillah and I and all our church leadership hope and pray that it will help you to get a good idea of who we are and what we stand for. If you have questions that are not answered after reading our web page, feel free to contact me by emailing me on my personal email address:  or calling the church office phone number (781) 545-0818 or my cell phone 9783326817. When you visit our church to worship with us, please do not leave without talking to me or my wife Sheillah or one of the ushers or leaders. We love to meet with our visitors.  Please, come on down to the church that “sits on water” and join us this Sunday! We will be happy to worship Christ our Lord together with you!
Yours in His Service,
Rev. Dr.  Abi Moyo
